Professor Franz W. Peren

 

franzDr. Franz W. Peren, is a professor of business administration at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University, Germany. From 1991 to 1993 he worked at the German Federal Ministry of Economics, responsible for the German Automotive Industry. Since 2006, he has been the chairman of the scientific advisory board of the International Research Institute for Gambling and Gaming in Germany. Together with Professor Reiner Clement, he developed the “Assessment Tool to Measure and Evaluate the Risk Potential of Gambling Products (ASTERIG)."

Dr. Peren was a former Visiting Professor of the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC, Canada (1999), Udayana University in Denpasar, Indonesia (2002 and 2005), and Columbia University in New York (2012). Moreover, Professor Peren is also an observer of international elections of the UN, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
