Dr. Xinhua Gu

xinhuaDr. Xinhua Gu is an associate professor of economics at the University of Macau. He received his Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Toronto, his M.A. degree in economics from Concordia University and his M.Sc. degree in management from Nankai University, and his B.Sc. degree in mathematics from Nanjing University. His research interests are in gaming economics, international economics and finance, financial economics, and urban economic development. He has published over 70 joint research papers in peer- reviewed academic journals, including 12 publications in international journals. He also has published three research monographs and various op-eds in newspapers. Additionally, he was given the best research paper awards at national, provincial, and local levels in Mainland China, and he acted as a chief investigator or a research participant in some major projects at those levels. His social and academic services include several economics/finance-related memberships in the U.S., China, and local associations.
