Dr. Guihai (Samuel) Huang

Samuel HuangDr. Guihai (Samuel) Huang, Director-General of the Executive Board, APAGS, is an Associate Professor at the Macao Polytechnic Institute and a member of the Macao Governmental Responsible Gambling Task Force. He was a managing editor of the Asian Journal of Gambling Issues and Public Health(2012-2013) and the Program Coordinator of the Bachelor of Social Science in Gaming and Recreation Management at the Macao Polytechnic Institute(2010-2014). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong, and B.A. and M.A. degrees from Tsinghua University, Beijing. His papers have been published in academic journals, such as Journal of Gambling StudiesChina Economic Review, Management World (in Chinese), and Macao Administration (both in Chinese and Portuguese). He also has authored a book titled Macao Personal Finance. Recently, his research interests have been focused on gamblers’ behaviour and responsible gambling, casino gaming, and public policy.
